INTERNATIONAL COURT OF CRIMINALS
The international Criminal Court is an intergovernmental organization within the UN that investigates and prosecutes international war crimes, crimes against humanity, and terrorism. The ICC prosecutes cases when a country’s government is unable or unwilling to prosecute and individual or group for their crimes, or when the case is referred to the ICC by the UNSC. The ICC aims to hold individuals or states responsible for their crimes and also strives to prevent them from happening in the future.
